About

Hi.  My name is Steve Brown.  I moved to Ashland in 1974, eventually attending Southern Oregon State College, graduating in 1980.  I moved to Los Angeles soon after to pursue a career in the media.

I created Media 14 in 1988 when I was working on episodic TV and feature films.  I started out as an extra on Hunter, Moonlighting, Cagney & Lacey, and LA Law to name a few.  I get robbed in the convenient store in Thelma and Louise and  became a Screen Actors Guild member from that job in 1990.

I was learning from the best

in the business so I put my knowledge to work  building various video and audio projects for clients.  It allowed me to apply what I had been learning being on sets full-time.

I came back to Southern Oregon in 1999 to produce a series of videos for a company that needed to have their products promoted. A few years later I decided that So. Oregon needed a good duplication facility, so I created one.  As the duplication business grew I also obtained state-of-the-art video production and post-production gear so that I could continue producing video.

As the years passed I have established contacts around the country and have produced segments for a few shows on the Discovery Velocity Channel and TBN.  I continue to produce  videos using a Sony 4K AX-33, a Sony FS100, Canon 70D, &  Canon HG21 along with professional lighting and audio packages.
